2001 Juslyn Estate Cabernet Sauvignon: 92 Points
The 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon Spring Mountain Estate offers an attractive but restrained bouquet of creme de cassis, licorice, crushed rocks, subtle oak, and background cherry scents. A superb, elegant example of what can be achieved in California, it possesses a Bordeaux-like personality superimposed upon the wonderful ripeness and purity of Napa Valley mountainside fruit. T his beautifully made, structured Cabernet will benefit from 2-4 more years of bottle age. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2020.

2001 Juslyn Estate Cabernet Sauvignon: 89-91 Points
The promising 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon Spring Mountain (only 235 cases produced) boasts a deep ruby/purple color along with aromas of black currants, cherries, earth, and underbrush, medium to full body, and lovely purity, ripeness, and finesse. Sweet smoky oak is present, but it is kept in the background. The tannin is moderately high, but the wine possesses the fruit and depth to support them. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2016.

2001 Juslyn Estate Cabernet Sauvignon: 90 Points
Cedar, chocolate and cassis abound in this surprisingly smooth and creamy mountain Cabernet. Immediately approachable because of its supple texture, yet firms up on the finish, suggesting midterm (5–8 years) aging potential.
