2006 Perry’s Blend, Spring Mountain District, Napa Valley
The 2006 Perry’s Blend (47% Merlot, 31% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Cabernet Franc, and 4% Petit Verdot) possesses seductive, sweet tannins (an anomaly for 2006 mountain Cabernets), a deep ruby/purple color, lots of sweet blue and black fruits, a charming elegance, medium to full-bodied flavors, excellent depth and richness, and impressive purity. Already delicious, it should evolve nicely for 10-15 years or more.
